According to Rome police reports:
The victim was away from the home for about an hour Monday afternoon and when he returned discovered that a garage door had been kicked in to allow a perpetrator to get inside.
The bedroom was ransacked but the only item missing was a 32-inch plasma flat screen television set valued at $500.
