Coastal Georgia entered Tuesday’s final round seven strokes behind Cumberlands but rallied for the win. Hunter Cornelius and Allen Bradford both fired 68s to lead CGA.
Shorter University finished in a tie for 12th place. Juan Giraldo led the Hawks, shooting 75-74.
Teammate Jordan Bethune shot 73-78.
Host Berry College, which had three teams entered in the event, had its top team tie for 15th with Covenant after shooting 615 (309-306).
Tommy McCloskey tied for 24th place (75-74-249) for the Vikings. Other A team finishes were: Alex Elmore, 79-74-153; Ty Hampel, 77-80-157; Jose Garcia, 78-82-160; Jason Terranova, 82-78-160.
Berry’s B Team placed 18th with a 623 score. Chase Kulczak led the squad with a 155 (74-81) and tied for 58th.
Other B team finishes: John Hall, 80-76-156; Alex Irvin, 82-74-156; Joey Dando, 84-76-160; Jacob Paquet, 81-80-161.
The four man Berry C team placed 24th of the 25 teams. Drew Kosko had the best finish for the unit (81-72-153).
His teammates finishes were: Jeremy Parker, 79-78-157; and Jared Hall, 82-85-167; Blake Hall, 83-90-173, 127th.
The Vikings return to action on Oct. 22nd at the O’Briant-Jensen Memorial. The two-day tournament is at the Cardinal Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
