A Rome man was charged with felony terroristic threats and acts Wednesday after he allegedly went to a woman’s residence and began screaming at her, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Tad Christopher Sims, 25, of 12 E. 12th St., went to the home shouting obscenities directed at the victim and then lifted his hand as if to hit her before telling her that he was going to have someone kill her.

Sims then slammed a door, causing injury to the victim’s foot. The incident occurred in front of children.

Sims was also charged with misdemeanor battery, simple assault and third-degree cruelty to children, all under the Family Violence Act. He was recently released from jail on a conditional bond and was also charged with probation violation.

He remained in jail Wednesday night without bond.
