Officials arrested a man Wednesday who was wanted in a Sept. 26 shooting that occurred in the area of North Broad Street, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Demarcus Cantrell Mitchell, 22, of 1305 Spring St., was arrested at his residence almost two weeks after warrants were taken out on him.

Mitchell is accused of firing a handgun at a group of men in the roadway near the intersection of Pine Street and Roseway Circle off of West Callahan Street.

One victim, Keneth Beasley, was shot three times in the right arm with one bullet grazing the back of his left thigh. Two other victims were standing in the vicinity of where Mitchell was firing.

One of the victims had apparently had an altercation with Mitchell earlier where he struck the man in the face.

Mitchell was charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault and one count of misdemeanor simple battery. He remained in jail Wednesday night without bond.
