A Rome woman was charged late Thursday night after she allegedly ran from officers and then tried to fight, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Jennifer Ann Rowland, 28, of 107 Lindsey Drive, allegedly ran away from police officers who then followed her. The report stated the officers ran after Rowland because she had a mental condition.

Rowland allegedly tried to climb on top of a house. She picked up a broken board with nails in it and got in a combative stance to fight off the officers who were able to get her on the ground and handcuff her. Rowland allegedly hit the officers and damaged a fence in the process.

She was charged with two felony counts of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officials, a felony count of aggravated assault and misdemeanor criminal trespass.

She was released from jail on Friday on a $5,700 bond.
