Man charged with making terroristic threats

A Rome man remained in jail on Friday after he allegedly threatened to beat someone up, according to Floyd County Jail and Rome police reports.

According to the police reports:

Leyburn Clark Smith, 61, of 1 Etowah Terrace, was charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts from the incident that occurred late Thursday night.

He remained in jail on a $5,700 bond
