According to the reports:
Brandon Eugene Donaldson, 27, of 591 Lane St., tried to pay for his meal at Bojangles with the fake cash.
He told police that he had cashed his paycheck in Rockmart and didn’t know the money was counterfeit.
When police checked Donaldson’s records they found a warrant from Polk County. A gun was also found in his car and his insurance and tag were not valid.
Donaldson was charged with misdemeanor no proof of insurance, two misdemeanor tag violations, felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and felony first-degree forgery. He also has a hold from Polk County.
A person who was with Donaldson, Benjamin Scott Ingram, 33, of 734 Reeceburg Road, Silver Creek, was charged with felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and felony first-degree forgery as a party to the crime.
