Bag containing medication, clothes stolen

Rome Police responded to a theft report Monday morning in the parking lot in front of the future Charles Hight Square, 800 N. 5th Ave.

According to the report:

A duffle bag containing clothes and medicine was taken from the rear of a vehicle that was left unattended for approximately 15 minutes, according the owner.

Missing were 30 tablets of Nexium 40mg, 180 tablets of meloxicam 7.5mg, 90 tablets of citalopram 20mg, 90 tablets of trazodone 100mg and 30 tablets of risperidone 1mg, all valued at approximately $17 total.

The bag was valued at $65 while clothes and a pair of golf shoes were valued at approximately $105.

The owner said the back of the vehicle was mesh and could have been accessed by lifting the plastic liner.
