Shorter University’s Gulf South Conference football showdown with 16th-ranked West Alabama this Saturday will be televised nationally through ESPN and Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS).

The Hawks and Tigers are slated to kick-off from Livingston, Ala., at 4:30 pm ET, and Shorter fans unable to make the trip west can watch the Hawks live on Comcast Cable Channel 35 or in high definition (where available) on Comcast Cable Channel 805 (in the Atlanta and Rome areas).

ESPN will also provide live coverage on ESPN3, where fans can watch the game by logging onto this link. Coverage for the game will begin on both networks at 4:30 pm. The link to ESPN’s coverage is also available on the football schedule on Shorter’s athletics website.

Saturday’s game, which marks the first time that the Hawks will play on television in the eight-year history of the program, is the first of two consecutive games that will be televised live by CSS.

The Hawks welcome Gulf South Conference rival Valdosta State to Historic Barron Stadium next Thursday, October 25 in the Gulf South Conference Game of the Week. Kick-off for next week’s game against the Blazers is set for 7:30 pm with coverage once again provided by CSS on channels 35 and 805.

As always, fans can also listen to all of Saturday’s action by tuning into 95.7 WATG-FM The Ridge or by accessing the live webcast link available on the Shorter Athletics homepage. Coverage begins at 3 pm ET with "Hawk Talk" and continues with "The Phil Jones Show" at 3:30 pm. The pregame show from Barron Stadium with Jim Bojo and Randy Bowen begins at 4 pm.
