An arrest related to loud music led to the capture of a man who is accused of causing a bomb threat at a local apartment complex, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Craig Richard Johnson, 39, of 16 Aubie Lane, Rome, is accused of placing a hoax device in an apartment at Tamassee Apartments, 66 Lyons Drive, on Sept. 7 and stating that it was a bomb.

The result of the threat caused tenants to fear for their safety and led to the evacuation of three buildings.

Johnson was arrested Thursday on Turner McCall Boulevard on a misdemeanor loud music charge as well as misdemeanor possession of Flexeril and misdemeanor drugs not in the original container.

He was charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and acts and hoax device and remained in jail Thursday night without bond.
