Two Rome teenagers remained in jail on Saturday night after police arrested them for allegedly breaking into a church, stealing church property and drawing Satanic symbols in the sanctuary, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Amelia May Fox, 18, and William Bryant Gordon, 17, both of 2209 Calhoun Road, allegedly broke into a Calhoun Road church in the early hours of Saturday morning by breaking the glass in the church’s door.

The two allegedly vandalized four separate church buildings by discharging fire extinguishers, causing an estimated $3,600 in damages.

Gordon and Fox allegedly stole a Fender guitar, church kitchen items, food and various religious artifacts, all of which were recovered at Gordon’s apartment later.

The teens allegedly wrote Satanic symbols in the sanctuary and on a classroom door. They disconnected the power in one of the buildings, attempting to bypass the alarm system.

When police arrived at their apartment, Gordon and Fox consented to a search. The stolen items were found, as well as a bong, less than an ounce of marijuana, a straw with a white, powdery substance on it, which Fox said was Klonopin, and a bag of the white powdery substance.

Both Gordon and Fox were charged with four felony counts of burglary, three felony counts of criminal damage to property, a felony count of possession of dangerous drugs, a felony count of vandalism to a place of worship and misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs not in their original container, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.
