Jean Marie Tibbits, cheer coach, said her 21 football cheerleaders and 17 competitive cheerleaders have been pushing hard to show their pride in a new division.
The competitive cheer team has moved up from AA to the AAA division, which means more work to win titles.
“There are bigger teams and new people we haven’t seen before,” Tibbits said.
The competitive group won first place at their first camp in Cartersville, placed second at a competition at Woodland, and first at a competition at Pepperell.
The team has no captains, but four seniors, and winning involves a lot of work and overcoming their personal challenges and fears.
