Elmore shot a 38 on the first nine as Berry started on hole #10 at the Cardinal Country Club. He tallied a 36 on the next nine holes and is tied for 13th place.

Jose Garcia and Ty Hampel both carded 77s and are tied for 23rd. Tommy McCloskey (79, T36th place) and Alex Irvin (81, T46) rounded out the Berry lineup.

Greensboro College is in first place with a 290. The Pride's Scott Novicki is in first place individually and was the only player to reach par with his 70 score.

The very strong field has host Guilford in second place with a 291. Methodist is in third (293) and Huntingdon is fourth (304)--three strokes ahead of Berry. Averett is in sixth place after shooting 309.

"The golf course played tough: a small mistake, usually resulting in a bogey, was a double today," said Berry Head Coach Brian Farrer. "The guys hung in there and saw a few things that we will be able to do better, and differently, tomorrow. There is a great group of teams here and it would be a wonderful opportunity to finish the fall with a solid round of golf tomorrow. Our guys are ready for the challenge."

The final round begins Tuesday morning.
