Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dean Saville Jr. of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Marinell Ansley Saville, to Matthew Ira Coats of Queensbury, N.Y. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Kevin Ira Coats of Queensbury, N.Y.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cecil Briley Jr. of Rome, and the late Mrs. Nell Ansley Briley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dean Saville. She is the sister of Andrew Briley Saville of Rome and Albert Franklin Saville of Miami, Fla.

Miss Saville is a 2001 graduate of Darlington School. She debuted with the Rome Symphony Orchestra in 2002. In 2005, she graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in International Business. While there, she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She is employed as the Marketing Manager for United Fresh Produce Association in Washington, D.C.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Durant of Lady Lake, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira Coats. He is the brother of Aaron Kevin Coats of Bangkok, Thailand, formerly of Queensbury, N.Y.

Coats graduated from Queensbury High School in 2001 and went on to attend Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., where he graduated cum laude in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in History and was a member of Chi Psi fraternity. He then earned a Master of Science

degree from Georgetown University in 2008, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the National Scholars Honor Society. He is the Program Manager in the Department of Homeland Security Office of University Programs.

A wedding at the bride’s parents’ home is planned for late spring, 2013. Invitations will be sent.
