The event begins at 5 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Center, 1325 Kingston Road, according to Al Shropshire of the NAACP.
The multi-course meal is $10 on site for all-you-can eat and $10 for a take-out plate.
At 6 p.m. an auction featuring items donated by NAACP members will begin.
Shropshire said he didn’t know what the items were yet, but in the past the auction has features baked goods, cakes, pies and memorabilia from actor Samuel L. Jackson, who has family living in the area.
A raffle for three $100 prizes begins at 7 p.m. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5.
The money raised will help the NAACP support organizations in Rome and Floyd County that work with children, as well as organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and “any social organization that would better the life of our community,” Shropshire said.
