Prior to coming to Floyd, Stephens worked at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation and also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Southern Union School of Nursing, Opelika, Ala. He has spent 22 years working in the hospital environment, 18 of which have been as a registered nurse.
Allen received his master’s of divinity degree at Luther Rice University and his bachelor’s degree in nursing at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nurses.
