Rome police arrested a North Rome man and woman following a quick investigation into the theft of a pair of DJ speakers from a home on Harvey Street on Saturday.

According to Rome police reports:

Melissa Akins, 35, and Tommy Isaac Baldwin, 48, both of 13½ Harvey St., were arrested and charged with felony theft by receiving Saturday at about 12:30 p.m. after a pair of DJ speakers were recovered from the kitchen of their residence.

The speakers had allegedly been stolen from a neighbor about an hour earlier Saturday morning.
