Prior to the regular meeting of the Cedar Bluff Town Council, the newly elected mayor and three council members were sworn in by Probate Judge Melvin Salter. Mayor Martha Baker and Council members Tammy Crane, Billie Burkhalter, and Jerry Sprayberry took the oath.

The council’s regular meeting is the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. and a workshop is on the fourth Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The selection of officers appointed by the council was delayed until the regular meeting in December.

The council approved Regions Bank in Centre and Generations Bank in Cedar Bluff as depositories for the towns funds.

The next regular council meeting will be Dec. 10, at 5:30 p.m.
