“We could not be happier. This is a huge deal for the enterprises,” said Enterprise Risk Management Specialist Josh Fancher, a sophomore from Lawrenceville, Ga. Participating enterprises are Martha’s Herbs, Season’s Harvest, The Berry Farm’s Jersey Milk cheese, Viking Creations and Viking Furniture.
Jersey Milk partners with Udderly Cool Dairy to provide a variety of high quality, flavorful cheeses. Cheeses are produced from 100 percent Berry milk and are hormone free. Varieties include Red Gold Pepper, Gouda, Cheddar, Jack and an assortment of fromage cheeses.
Martha’s Herbs and Season’s Harvest use the facilities of the Horticultural Department to grow herbs and produce. Two greenhouses provide optimal growing environments year round away from harsh winter and fall temperatures. The students of Martha’s Herbs and Season’s Harvest strive to grow the healthiest most desirable herbs.
Viking Furniture specializes in crafting hand-made high quality Adirondack chairs and Viking Creations students weave scarves and bags by hand to sell to the public. Each enterprise is made entirely of Berry students who work closely with a faculty or staff advisor. For more information check www.berry.edu/studententerprises.
