Four people were taken to the hospital after a wreck on Alabama Highway near Evan's Store around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to Floyd County police Pfc. Baker Harbin:

A gray 1990 Dodge Ram pulled out from the gas station and was struck by a Freightliner box truck traveling westbound on Alabama Highway in the outside lane.

The two people in the Dodge Ram were ejected from the vehicle through the driver's side door during the wreck. Two people in the Freightliner were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The westbound lanes of Alabama Highway were closed while emergency responders treated the patients and cleaned up the wreckage.
