Rome-Floyd County Fire Department officials were busy battling two fires at different Lindale houses in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to Battalion Chief Phil Langston.

According to Langston:

Firefighters responded to a fire at 2 Spring Circle at 12:30 a.m. The occupants of the address were not at home at the time.

Just a little more than an hour later, firefighters fought a blaze at 64 Davis St., a vacant house.

Both houses suffered damage, but Langston said they weren’t totally lost.

The causes of the fires are under investigation.
