The NAIA postseason will culminate with the championship game on Thursday, Dec. 13, at Barron Stadium.
It will be the first time the game has been played on a week night in Rome.

The NAIA playoffs opened on Saturday at various venues around the nation, with 16 hoping to move one step closer to securing a berth in next month’s NAIA championship game at Barron Stadium.
The title game will be played on Thursday, Dec. 13 in Rome.
The No. 2-seeded Missouri Valley College Vikings were among the teams that posted a first-round victory on Saturday, as they downed the No. 15 Ottawa 56-21.
It was the first postseason win for the Vikings since the 2007 NAIA playoffs.
Leading the way for MVC through the air was Reyes who finished 12 of 26 passing with three interceptions and 152 yards. The lone touchdown pass came from Beasley.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Third-ranked Morningside prevailed in a high scoring shootout with No. 14 Montana Tech at Elwood Olsen Stadium to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Mustangs are in the NAIA Quarterfinals for the seventh time in the last nine years.
Joel Nixon rushed for 116 yards in 19 attempts and completed 10 of 20 pass attempts for 156 yards and two touchdowns to finish with 272 yards total offense.
Fred Jones rushed for 60 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Kyle Schuck caught four passes for 41 yards and Joel McCabe had three catches for 64 yards.
Montana Tech finished with 517 yards total offense against the nation’s No. 1 defense that had shut out each of its last three regular season opponents. The Orediggers’ 517 yards and 35 points were the most surrendered by the Mustangs all season.
Saint Xavier (Ill.) 31,
William Penn (Iowa) 0
CHICAGO — Posting its first shutout since 2009, fourth-ranked Saint Xavier sailed past No. 13 William Penn University (Iowa).
The Cougars (10-1) racked up 496 yards of total offense against the Statesmen, who were making their first postseason appearance since 1975.
Senior quarterback Jimmy Coy completed 29 of his 52 pass attempts for 336 yards and a pair of touchdowns for SXU. Corey Wennmacher led the Cougar receivers with seven catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Junior running back Nick Pesek racked up a team-best 79 rushing yards and a score on 23 carries to go along with 74 yards through the air on seven receptions.
Dave Marciano led the Cougar defensive effort with 12 total tackles (seven solos), including a pair of sacks.
Saint Francis (Ind.) 22, Baker (Kan.) 17
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — University of Saint Francis linebacker Jamal Green wasn’t the intended receiver, but he made the biggest catch of the game in the sixth-ranked Cougars’ win over 11-ranked Baker University.
Green intercepted a pass by Wildcats’ quarterback Sam Vossen at the USF 42 with 2:23 to play in the fourth quarter to seal the win for USF (9-3).
It was USF’s 11th consecutive opening-round win.
Antoin Campbell led USF rushing with 95 yards on 27 carries. Cameron Smith led USF receiving with one reception for 47 yards. Brody Kalbaugh led USF tacklers with 18 including six solo.
Cumberlands (Ky.) 42,
MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 24
WILLIANSBURG, KY — The Patriots looked like a team on a mission as they dominated MidAmerica Nazarene University.
The Patriots were led by Terrance Cobb, who ran for a season-high 35 attempts for 177 yards and four touchdowns.
Willie Gibson had four receptions for 36 yards and four carries for 81 yards.
The Patriots racked up 428 yards rushing and 506 total yards of offense.
Marian (Ind.) 42,
Northwestern (Iowa) 32
INDIANAPOLIS — For the third consecutive season, Marian University earned a berth in the quarterfinals after the No. 5 Knights picked up a victory over No. 12 Northwestern.
Senior Adam Wiese set a school-record with 479 yards passing and tied his school record of four touchdown passes in leading the Knights’ offense.
Wiese went 30-of-41 for the 479 yards and hit 10 different receivers on the day.
Freshman Anthony Jones Jr. caught a career-high eight passes for 159 yards and a touchdown.
Southern Oregon 45,
St. Ambrose (Iowa) 28
DAVENPORT, Iowa — Four touchdowns in the fourth quarter helped No. 10 Southern Oregon overcome an 11-point deficit as the Raiders knocked off No. 8 St. Ambrose.
Manny Barragan tied his career-high mark with 192 rushing yards and added 47 receiving yards on six catches.
Austin Dodge passed for 307 yards and three touchdowns, Patrick Donahue caught six balls for 83 yards and a touchdown and Mike Olson added five catches for 81 yards and a score.
The Raiders’ streak of six straight games surpassing 600 yards came to an end. They finished with 547 yards, including 307 through the air.
The Bees totaled 472 yards in the game and took advantage of three SOU turnovers in the first half to take a 28-17 halftime lead.
