Cartersville man faces forgery charge

A 2009 incident involving a fake check has landed a Cartersville man in Floyd County Jail, according to jail reports.

According to the report:

Robert Edward Cochran, 32, of 90 Akins Place, Cartersville, was charged with felony first-degree forgery after he allegedly passed a counterfeit check for $289.76 at Warehouse Beverage on Shorter Avenue in June 2009.

The check was written on an account from American Taco Bell Corp. and labeled as payroll.

Cochran remained in jail Monday night without bond.
