OUR NATION has sustained an enormous catastrophe in the New York-New Jersey areas. I am concerned that the nations to whom we give financial aid annually have not responded in our time of great need.

I suggest that our nation’s leadership consider reducing foreign aid across the board and use that money to rebuild the bridges, roads, and power grid. Everywhere in this country, our infrastructure is in need of repair. If our enemies were looking for a way to bring us to our knees, all they would have to do is look at the pitiful way we have responded to a natural disaster along our coast for a telling example at how prepared we are.

Think about it. Billions of dollars could be used to repair the damage and reduce unemployment.
