A Floyd County man accused of stealing water from the Floyd County Water Department was released from jail Wednesday on bail.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Luther Charles Sisson, 25, of 44A Simon Drive, was arrested on a warrant by Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with misdemeanor counts of damaging or interfering with property of a public utility and theft of service.

He is accused of running a pipe from the county’s water meter to get free service.
