Those interested can pick up an application at the Cedartown City Hall or online at www.cedartownga.gov.
This year’s theme is “The Sights and Sounds of Christmas.” There will be three divisions for this year’s float contest: church division, open division and most outstanding division. The first place prize for each division is $500. The church and open divisions will have second place prizes of $300 and third place prizes of $200.
Participants are asked not to throw candy or have a Santa Claus on their floats to avoid confusing children.
The parade is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. with a rain date of Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.
The parade route will be from Marietta Street to the Badcock Furniture parking lot behind Wendy’s on North Main Street.
