Atlanta woman arrested on forgery charge

A woman charged with cashing a fraudulent check at a Lindale business was arrested Monday, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Julie Ann Day, 31, of 1862 Arkose Drive, Atlanta, was charged with first-degree forgery.

In May 2010, Day allegedly made and possessed a fake check from Georgia Tech Foundation Inc. and cashed it at Lindale Food and Tobacco, 3021 Maple Road.

She remained in jail Monday night without bond. The amount of the check was not listed.
