Black Friday is well known for having some of the lowest priced deals of the year, and the most discounts available for any given period of time during the holiday shopping season. In 2011, more than 17,000 deals were publicly advertised by more than 90 of the top retailers. Black Friday Deal Finder on FatWallet.com is expected to publish more than 20,000 deals in 2012, and will feature additional sale items for early holiday, Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday.

With more than 40 percent of all Black Friday deals priced under $20 and more than 20 percent were under $10, the infographic contains some interesting data related to the trend for Black Friday having low prices and great bargains to help holiday gift seekers save money. There are also some bold predictions for this year’s Black Friday event, including an expected 20 percent increase in online shopping.
