The makeover includes a complete repainting of the interior with a classic 1920s black and white motif.
New black and white drapes have replaced the old drapes. Columns and much of the trim work inside the building have been painted black, while the walls are white. New black, silver and white carpet has been installed in the main seating area, and the ceiling will also be painted silver. New silver brass sconces adorn the walls.
The makeover is phase one of a complete redo of the now one-year-old business. Phase two will include the construction of an addition over the first floor banquet rooms with a deck that will face Broad Street.
Brinson is not clear at this point when construction on that project will actually get under way, however Rome’s Historic Preservation Commission has approved the plans.
