In a rematch of a 2011 road loss to Auburn University feeder school, Southern Union, the new look Lady Bobcats launched an attack from long-range Friday afternoon to find redemption against the Lady Bison at the buzzer, 71-70.

Former Armuchee standout Sierra Smith found her rhythm from beyond the arc once again. Going 6-for-13 from three-point range, Smith’s biggest two shots found their mark in the final ten seconds of the game.

Georgia Northwestern’s win against the Lady Bison is the college’s first-ever win over a Division I program in the NJCAA.

The Lady Cats (6-5) next play a charity match against Mid-South College at the Rossville Athletic Complex.
