Man jailed on drug, traffic charges in early Saturday stop

A Rome man remained in the Floyd County Jail on drug and traffic charges after he was pulled over by police and found with pot and pills, reports stated.

According to jail records:

Tremaine Cortez Turner, 33, of 21 Dellvue Place, was jailed on drug and traffic charges at about 12:30 a.m. after Floyd County police stopped him on Maple Road for weaving in the roadway.

Once stopped, police searched his car and found both marijuana and unidentified pills in Turner’s pants pocket.

Turner was being held Saturday on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of marijuana along with misdemeanor charges of drugs to be kept in original container, driving without a valid license and failure to maintain lane.
