According to the reports:
William Robert Cook Jr., 27, of 434 Old Dalton Road, was approached by officers inside the Wendy’s at 711 Martha Berry Blvd. after the manager reported he was acting suspicious.
When asked what he was doing Cook replied that he wanted a job application. The manager of the store said they had none.
After officers were unable to obtain any information about the man based on the name and birth date he provided, the officer advised him he would be detained for investigative purposes and taken to the Floyd County Jail until it was determined who he was.
Cook was cuffed, and officers found a note on him titled “How Bill Cook intends to rob the Wendy’s on Martha Berry and get away with it.”
The note spelled out a “Plan A” and a “Plan B” to rob Wendy’s.
Officers also discovered Cook carrying a knife and took him into custody.
He was charged with felony counts of intent to commit armed robbery and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime by a convicted felon and misdemeanor giving a false name and birth date.
Cook was being held Tuesday night without bond.
