A traffic stop led to drug charges for a Cave Spring man, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Barry Freeman Ayers, 25, of 26 Alabama St., Cave Spring, was stopped by Cave Spring police when he was observed crossing the center line twice.

Ayers stated during the traffic stop that he had a suspended license and had been smoking methamphetamine. A bag was discovered in his vehicle that contained a pipe with residue and an empty bag.

Ayers was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor counts of possession of drug-related objects, driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked, and failure to maintain lane.

He remained in jail Wednesday with an $11,400 bond.
