Silver Creek man charged with cocaine, marijuana possession

Police arrested a Silver Creek man who allegedly had marijuana and cocaine packaged for sale near East Rome public housing property, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Michael Joe Johnson, 31, of 1015 Jake Whorton Road, allegedly had ounce of marijuana packaged for sale as well as an amount of cocaine for more than personal use during a traffic stop on East 12th Street.

He was charged with felony counts of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to dis-tribute, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of public housing property and possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing property.

He remained in jail Thursday morning.
