Police responded Sunday to Kmart after a woman allegedly shoplifted, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Kerry Elizabeth Maxwell, 32, of 103 E. Main St., Rome, concealed a pair of pants in her handbag and also finished drinking a bottle of vodka while inside the store.

She then began yelling profanity and racial slurs when loss prevention officers detained her.

Maxwell was charged with felony first-degree forgery and misdemeanor counts of theft by shoplifting, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

She remained in jail Sunday night without bond on the forgery charge.
