A Rome man was arrested late Sunday night after officers discovered a small quantity of suspected marijuana growing at a location off the Kingston Highway.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Charles K. Reese, 36, of 2447 Kingston Highway, Rome, was taken into custody around 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the wake of an investigation that recovered three marijuana plants and a large quantity of seeds and stems at his address. Officers also found equipment that is consistent with the type of items used to facilitate growing marijuana and a large quantity of baggies consistent with those used to distribute the plant.

Reese was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana along with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and felony manufacturing marijuana.
