Berry dropped to 4-4 and Marymount improved to 8-3.
A 20-0 run in the second half gave Marymount a sizable lead that it did not relinquish.
Head Coach Stephanie Dunn said the 18-day layoff between the team’s previous game and Wednesday’s game did not help the team.
“Not playing for a period of time due to finals and different things…our continuity and shooting was off,” said Dunn of the team’s performance.
Sophomore Chanlir Segarra paced Berry with 12 points. Freshman Tara Mullinax notched seven points and six rebounds. Katelyn Fischer tacked on a game-high 18 points for Marymount.
Berry plays on Friday against Pacific Lutheran at 2 p.m. in its final game of the tournament.
