GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Police in Gainesville say shots were fired at two utility workers early Wednesday morning and a 62-year-old man has been arrested on two charges of aggravated assault.

The Gainesville Times reports Donald Josh Deal was arrested around 2 a.m. after a negotiation with a Hall County Sheriff's Office SWAT team.

Authorities say two utility workers were trying to restore power around midnight after downed trees impacted power lines. Police say the man came outside and cursed at them before shots were fired. No injuries were reported.

Deal is being held in the Hall County Jail. His bond has not been set and his court date has not been scheduled. It was unclear Wednesday afternoon if Deal has a lawyer.
