STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) — Police in DeKalb County say a man who was shot during an attempted bank robbery has died.

WSB-TV reports a DeKalb County sheriff's deputy was inside the bank at the time and shot the suspect — identified as Eric Roberts — around 11 a.m.

Authorities say Roberts jumped from a window and tried to flee the scene, but was apprehended.

The deputy who was involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave, and the shooting is under investigation.
