Rome Symphony Orchestra premieres history documentary

The Rome Symphony Orchestra’s annual business meeting will be held Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Rome Area History Museum.

The event will include the premiere of the RSO Oral History Documentary. Special guests and speakers will include Frank Barron, John Carruth, Susan Harvey, W.C. Owen and documentarian Brian Armstrong.

In addition, Sam Moss will receive the Helen Dean Rhodes Distinguished Service award; Renate Corbin will receive the Edith Lester Harbin Volunteer of the Year award; and Gwendolyn Watson, RSO cellist will be the recipient of the James W. Bryson Musician of the Year award.

The public is invited to attend the event. Admission is $25 per person. Deadline for reservations is Jan. 7. Tickets can be purchased on the RSO web site at romesymphony.org by clicking on Special Events then Oral History Documentary.
