Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Griffith of Bowdon announce the engagement of their daughter, Theresa M. Griffith of Rome, to Matthew A. King, also of Rome. Matthew is the son to Mr. and Mrs. Clark Toles of Lindale and Michael King of Summerville.

Miss Griffith graduated from Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in May 2012. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and the four times National Champion Cheerleading Squad. She is employed at Excel Christian Academy in Cartersville as the high school science teacher and cheerleading coach.

King graduated from Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in December 2012, where he studied Pre-Med. He is currently working while pursuing medical school to become a doctor.

The bride-to-be is the sister of Amber Griffith of Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of Betty Griffith of Buchannan and the late Kenneth Griffith. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Juan Ildelfonso of the Philippines.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Carrol Everett of Lindale, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Toles of Armuchee and the late Leon Everett.

The wedding will be held at The Barn at Greene’s Hallow in Adairsville on May 25, 2013.
