There are no suspects yet in the case of a Rome man found shot to death at a house on Kingston Avenue on New Year’s Eve, according to Rome police detective Lt. Gary Clayton.

Funeral services for Willie Terry Slack will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Thankful Baptist Church, where he was a member.

Slack, 56, was found dead on the porch of a home at 306 Kingston Ave. around 10:25 p.m. on Dec. 31. Clayton reported that no witnesses saw the incident but several neighbors said they heard multiple shots.

Police are asking anyone who has information pertaining to the case to contact the investigations division of the Rome Police Department at 706-238-5111. Calls may be made anonymously.
