A three-car wreck in Walker County left two Romans hospitalized Wednesday night with severe injuries.

Bob and Peggy Moore of Rome are being treated at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga after they collided head-on with a Buick Century.

Bob Moore was in critical condition in ICU on Wednesday afternoon while his wife Peggy was in stable condition and being taken out of ICU.

The two were in a Scion Xb heading south on U.S. 27 in LaFayette on Friday afternoon when Aaron Micheal Dooley, of Summerville, crossed the center turn lane and continued into oncoming traffic just north of the Black Circle intersection.

Dooley struck the Moore’s vehicle head-on, causing the Scion to rotate 180 degrees and then get hit by a southbound Jeep Cherokee.

Dooley died at the scene, while the female driver of the Jeep and her 8-year-old son each sustained a broken arm, among other injuries.
