Miss Holder
Ms. Holder is the daughter of Oliver and Shirley Hutchins of Lindale. Garrett is the son of the late Homer and Fonda Lorton Garrett.
The bride-elect is a 1987 graduate of Pepperell High School She earned an Information and Office Technology degree from Coosa Valley Technical College in 1993, An Associate of Applied Science degree in Business from Floyd College in 1995, an Associate of Business Administration degree from Georgia Highlands College in 2009, a Bachelor of Organizational Management degree from Covenant College in 2010 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Belhaven University in 2012. She is employed at Georgia Highlands College.
The bride-elect is the mother of Smith and Noelle Holder, both of Silver Creek. She is the sister of Sherry Ward of Maiden, N.C., and Dwayne Hutchins of Rome. She is the granddaughter of the late H.V. and Ruth Hutchins and the late Jerry and Odessa Riordan.
Garrett is a 1980 graduate of North Green High School in Whitehall, Ill. He earned an Associate of Computer Science degree from Floyd College in 1998, a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Kennesaw State University in 2001 and a Networking Specialist degree from North Metro Technical College in 2003. He is employed at Floyd Medical Center.
The groom-elect is the father of James Garrett II of Joaquin, Texas and Jeremy Garrett of Sherman Oaks, Calif. He is the brother of Roy Garrett of Virginia, Ill., and Martha Thiel of Chicago, Ill. He is the grandson of the late Hugh and Zelda Garrett and the late Gerald Lorton and Waneta Lorton of Collinsville, Ill.
The wedding ceremony is planned for 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at Wax Baptist Church in Silver Creek. Formal invitations will be sent.
