A cold front will move through the southeast on Friday bringing winter weather and possibly freezing rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Our area may get an accumulation of one-quarter of an inch of freezing rain or sleet Friday morning.

Today's forecast by the National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 51 today with a slight chance of showers tonight.

There is a 20 percent chance of showers after 11 p.m. tonight with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 36.

Thursday A 20 percent chance of showers before 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 47. North wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night A slight chance of rain before 10pm, then a chance of rain or freezing rain between 10pm and 1am, then a chance of freezing rain and sleet after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
