Officials with Hull Storey Gibson Companies LLC, the owners of the Mount Berry Square mall have confirmed that the Connect City Church, which has occupied space near the front entrance to the mall for several years, will be leaving the mall.

Coles Hull, a marketing analyst with Hull Storey Gibson Companies, has confirmed that the church and its children’s church operation will be in the mall through early March.

Connect City Church Pastor Josh Roberts said the church has acquired the former Sale City Auction building, 1500 Highway 27, Summerville, which he said was originally built for a church, and will combine the Connect City congrega-tions in Rome and Summerville. “Starting March 1 that will belong to us,” Roberts said. It’s kind of cool to be able to re-deem that building back for what it was built for.”

Roberts said the change will allow the church to save on utilities and overhead.

The Pals Coffee+ shop, which shared space with the church, has already closed.

The church has launched a new website, www.600Seconds.com to explain all of the changes that are coming.
