Reverend Claude McRoberts performed the double-ring ceremony. An arrangement of white hydrangea, oriental lilies and Bells of Ireland with curly willow and pine adorned the altar. Family pews were marked with bouquets of white hydrangea with accents of pine and seeded eucalyptus berries.
A program of wedding music was provided by pianist Carolyn Walker and a string quartet led by Annie Camp. Selections included “Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place,” “Holy Ground,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “Interlude,” and “How Great Thou Art.” The bride’s brother, Paul Bennett Brock Jr. of Rome sang “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” while groomsman William Thomas Harmon accompanied on the piano.
Emily Dianne Brock of Rome, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Young Snider of Auburn, Ala., sister of the groom, Leigh Ellen Black of Birmingham, Ala., Elizabeth Formby Buice of Rome, Mary Camden Carlson of Montgomery, Ala., Alicia Lauren Clem of Atlanta, Claire Catherine Davis of Rome, Kendall Clark Downs of Dothan, Ala., and Christina Maria Rutledge of Rome. They wore formal, one-shoulder gowns of truffle chiffon. They carried bouquets of antique green hydrangea, lisianthus, Escimo roses and green cymbidium orchids wrapped with truffle satin.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a formal gown of handmade ivory lace. The corseted underbodice was covered in lace with a bateau neckline and cap sleeves. A soft ivory satin sash was tied into a bow at the waist. The soft A-line skirt finished into a chapel-length train. The bride completed the look with a cathedral-length veil that featured Chantilly lace along the edge of the blusher and hem. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory hydrangea, ranunculus, lisianthius, Escimo roses and tulips with accents of seeded eucalyptus wrapped in ivory satin.
Richard Moffitt Babington of Montgomery, Ala., father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were John English Babington of Montgomery, Ala., brother of the groom, Paul Bennett Brock, Jr. of Rome, brother of the bride, William Thomas Harmon of Montgomery, Ala., William Hugh Van Hooser, Jr. of Montgomery, Ala., Michael Paul Lewis, Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., James Alexander McFarland of Birmingham, Ala., Matthew Carter Ragan of Dothan, Ala., Robert Seth Snider of Auburn, Ala., and John Stuart Yow IV of Montgomery, Ala.
The mother of the bride wore a formal sleeveless gown of bronze, gold, and copper sequins. She completed the look with a sheer gold-threaded wrap. The mother of the groom wore a formal sleeveless gown of navy chiffon which featured a v-neckline, ruching at the waist with a rhinestone broach, and a matching navy shawl. The mothers were presented with bouquets of white hydrangea, tea roses, tulips and berries. The grandmothers were presented with cymbidium orchid corsages.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Coosa Country Club. Refreshments included the bride’s five-tier cake. Each vanilla cake layer was filled with lemon curd and raspberry butter cream. The entire confection was iced in buttercream, and featured floral accents and a lush cascade of flowers along one side. The groom’s cake was a three-tier creation of chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and dark chocolate icing with chocolate shavings. The middle tier of the cake featured the groom’s monogram.
The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Coosa Country Club. Other prenuptial parties included an engagement dinner hosted by

After their honeymoon trip to Highlands, N.C., the couple will reside in Homewood, Ala.
