Todd Wheeler was announced as the new head coach of the Coosa football program on Friday in front of prospective players for next year's team.

"It's just exciting," said Wheeler. "I think Coosa is a diamond in the rough. There's some good kids here and some good athletes here and it's just a chance to take a program that can go places and try to work at building that program and seeing what we can do with it."

Wheeler was formerly an assistant coach for the Coosa football team.

This is great for Coosa! Todd will do good things. May have to move my kids to that area so they can play for him.
