Rome-Floyd County firefighters extinguished an electrical and materials fire inside the F&P Georgia Manufacturing Inc. plant that was reported at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The fire was completely put out by 12:30 a.m. on Sunday at the plant located at 88 Enterprise Drive. Fire officials then turned the scene over to plant management, and the affected part of the facility was ventilated to eliminate the smoke.

All workers were accounted for, officials said, and there were no injuries from the blaze.

F&P, a tier one automotive parts supplier, operates under its parent company, F-Tech Inc., and the head office is located in Saitama Prefecture in Japan.
