Ismenia Concepcion Oseguera of Los Angles, Calif. and Willie Franklin Malone of Mission Hills, Calif., formerly of Rome, were married at 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at The Guadalupe Wedding Chapel in Panorama City, Calif.

The groom is the son of Mattie Mae Terhune of Rome and the late John William Malone and Lewis Terhune Jr. He is the grandson of the late Dave and Katie Wheeler.

Minister George performed the double-ring ceremony, some portions in both English and Spanish. The celebration included a “Coin Exchange Ceremony”, a Latin-Catholic custom, a “Rope Ceremony” assisted by the groom’s sister, Parthenia McCombs Dodds of Akron, Ohio, and the “Jumping of the Broom Ceremony, an African-American tradition, introduced by the groom’s sister, Martha Lois Price-Davis of Rome.

The couple chose “At Last” as their musical theme for the bridal entrance and their first dance.

Sonia Ozkosar of Chesapeake,Va., sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Adriana Osegura, daughter of the bride, was the maid of honor.

Dulce and Marlene Monica, grandaughters of the bride, were the junior bridesmaids. They all wore horizon blue full-length satin gowns and carried a single white rose with blue and white silk ribbons.

Kelci Monico, granddaughter of the bride, was the flower girl. Luis Antonio, son of the bride was the ring bearer.

The bride was escorted by her son, Rogelio Oseguers, Jr. and her sister, Sonia Ozkosar. She wore a formal white satin and silk chiffon full-length halter style with one shoulder strap gown. The bodice was enhanced with rhinestones and pearl beads.

The tailored skirt flowed into a full train of ruffles. A tiara with a waist length veil draped her shoulders. She carried a nosegay of silk roses with rhinestones in the centers and white satin ribbons. Her accessaries were diamond and pearl earrings and a triple strand of pearl necklace.

Jonathan Goode of Houston, Texas, nephew of the groom, was the best man. Wilfrido DeLaRosa of Los Angles, Calif., was the groomsman.

Hostesses were Shayla Goode of Houston, Texas, Joniqua Goode of Atlanta, and Katiere Goode of Rome, all nieces of the groom. Martha Davis, sister of the groom, was the emcee.

A wedding reception was held at El Queso Grande Mexican Restaurant.

The triple tiered square vanilla-almond layer cake with white buttercrean frostin was topped with a doubleheart emblem. The tables were decorated with blue and white roses and lillies, heart-shaped minature heartshaped dishes filled with mints and ribbons with the couples names engraved on them.
